Your Responsibilities

As a PCB Designer for ISG-ESlocated in Fargo, ND, you will...


  • Design, developand evaluatenew concepts and complex systems using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools following Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)
  • Performas expert user of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) CAD systems with considerable experience for complex engineering models and components; evaluate new processes, updates and tools
  • Providedocument maintenance, be responsible for placement and routing of electronic circuits, create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication drawings, conceptualize PCB projects, create/maintain electronic diagrams and evaluate designs for electromagnetic compliance
  • Perform Design, Process, Assembly Reviews (DPAR) with domestic and overseas PCB fabricators

What Skills You Need


  • Basic understanding of PCB fabrication and board level assembly practices
  • Basic understanding of PCB computer aided designs (CAD)
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC
  • Ability to apply engineering principles to the design of PCBs while meeting design for manufacturability (DFM) requirements
  • Ability to technicallycomprehendtesting, manufacturing, quality controland cost trade- offs of PCB design requirements
  • Ability to perform PCB work requiring application of standard PCB techniques, proceduresand criteria in carrying out PCB tasks
  • Ability to make preliminary selections or adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Ability to perform assignments with instructions as to the general results expectedand to devise new approaches to problems
  • Ability to direct the work of aidesand technicians
  • Ability to interface with customers without guidance from a supervisor
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Design Capture and DX Designer
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Constraint Editor System (CES)
  • Experience with switching power supplies and memory routing rules
  • Experience with Design for Test (DFT)
  • Experience with power electronics for a variety of DC voltage levels (up to 1000 Vdc) and power levels (up to 50kW)
  • Experience with creepage and clearance rules for power electronics

Education

Ideally,you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Degree in an engineering/technology discipline or equivalent experience
