Our Assistant Daycare Teacher helps with the planning and implementation of a developmentally appropriate childcare program curriculum. Assistant Daycare Teachers provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
Our Assistant Daycare Teachers will preform the following functions:
Assists with planning, implementing and supervising a developmentally and academically appropriate curriculum for the assigned program.
Maintains daily schedules of activities, etc.
Maintains an organized, clean and safe learning and recreational environment for all program areas.
Develops and consistently maintain appropriate and professional communication with parents.
Trains children and parents on emergency procedures.
Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Maintains all required records and logs.
Special projects as requested and needed.
Report all accidents and incidents involving self, participants, guests or other employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Our Assistant Daycare Teachers must have the following requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
HS Diploma/GED required.
One year experience working with children required.
Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.
Submission of NYS Medical Statement of Childcare Staff Form documenting physician clearance to work in a childcare setting as well as TB Test which meets Health and Social Service requirement.
Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; CPR; First Aid; AED; Blood borne Pathogens to be completed within 30 days of hire.
Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills. Basic knowledge of computers.
Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
All certifications, diplomas and/or credentials must be presented in the documents section for consideration.
This is a part-time position, free membership is included once hired! Starting Rate is $13.25
