If you are a Sales professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in one of our United States office locations, you will be focused on selling our Plantweb Optics Software platform and responsible for meeting Plantweb Optics Software and Services orders targets within your assigned area. You will act in business development, sales, and sales support capacities as you drive growth in your assigned region.
AS THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, YOU WILL:
Achieve orders targets for each fiscal quarter and fiscal year
Drive orders growth through multiple sales mechanisms. In this capacity you will wear multiple hats.
With our Impact Partner sales channel – local sites, regional accounts
Through our Sales Programs – name accounts, greenfield / capital projects, showcase sites
Execute North America / Regional sales initiatives
Provide the North America Director sales with timely and accurate sales forecast
Solicit customer and sales channel feedback for product improvements
Drive DOA, ORB, CRM, proposal, solutions selling discipline and utilization of other business process
Provide subject matter expertise to other team members in the form of software stack / application knowledge, sales acumen, demo capability, and/or industry acumen
Provide collaboration across the North America regions, program teams, and coordination with the Digital Transformation Regional Managers and Area Vice Presidents.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 4 years of technical sales or business development experience
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% (Post COVID restrictions)
Ability to manage through influence (demonstrated ability to lead and motivate)
Adaptability allowing for mixed engagement ranging from engineers to executives
Passion for collaboration and a drive to close on quarterly and fiscal objectives
Self-starter, track record of delivering business results
Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Minimum 6 years’ experience solution selling of software and services Bachelor’s Degree within a Business or Engineering discipline Successful candidate is currently based near an Emerson office location. Familiarity with or selling the following solutions – predictive analytics, machine learning, data visualization / contextualization, SaaS, data integration Executive presence and demeanor with outcome-based solution selling skills Experience working in or selling into life sciences, chemical, specialty chemical, energy, pulp and paper, and other industry segments
