Senior Account Supervisor, Health - Miami at Daniel J. Edelman Holdings in Miami, Florida

Job Description:

We have a rare opportunity to run the day-to-day of one of the most stimulating health accounts we represent. The account is one of the biggest biotech's in the industry, and you would get to support them with regional (LATAM focused) and international public affairs and corporate communications assignments working with cross-functional and cross-geography teams.

We partner with our client daily on programming to reach various audiences. Our work spans thought leadership, executive positioning, crisis and issues management, stakeholder engagement, employee engagement, measurement, and analytics, as well as advocacy campaigns.

We are looking for a seasoned account lead to join our integrated team comprising engaged team members and specialists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare communications, strong corporate communications and public affairs experience and thrive on keeping big teams and budgets to task and on timeline.

Responsibilities:


    • Own overall day-to-day account management, including all project timelines and budget working toward agreed strategic goals

    • Oversee financial and operational performance of multiple accounts simultaneously, ensuring quality work, deadline and budget adherence, and that plan creation and execution map to goals

    • Lead day-to-day client relations, including the ability to counsel clients and troubleshoot client and internal issues

    • Demonstrate writing excellence when crafting internal and client materials and correspondence, especially executive communications

    • Supervise staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting their reviews

    • Introduce clients to new capabilities, initiate new business process and display strong presentation skills during client pitches

    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals

    • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman's values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

    • Serve as interim practice lead for the Miami office during current lead's upcoming six-month maternity leave.

Basic qualifications:

    • The Senior Account Supervisor must have at least five years of relevant experience in communications and/or related fields including management consulting. S/he must have excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Spanish.

Preferred qualifications

    • The Senior Account Supervisor should have a bachelor's degree in a related field, experience effectively managing sizable accounts (including financials) and serving as the daily client contact simultaneously. S/he should have proven ability to effectively motivate and manage teams. S/he should have experience working in healthcare communications and demonstrate strong understanding of health sector landscape in Latin America and internationally.
