Summary:

Junior Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of Mechanical engineering to join our team currently serving industrial clients. Under general supervision, plans, conducts, or supervises tasks such as design and report writing on mechanical projects. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Interprets and applies organization policy. Recommends changes in procedures. Operates with substantial latitude for independent action or decision. Reviews progress with management. Prepares, develops and assists in the preparation of proposals and qualification statements.

Experience in the design and specification of industrial equipment sizing including crushers, conveyors, ball mills, dryers, filters, pumps, etc.
The successful candidate will have experience in preparing design calculations, cost estimates, and preparation of specifications report and bid evaluations.

Your Role:


  • Perform and manage technical tasks such as fieldwork, design, and report writing on mechanical projects in the public and private sector.
  • Participate in functions involving contact with client representative. Work/coordinate with project team personnel.
  • Perform a range of tasks requiring utilization of advanced scientific and engineering analytical techniques, including development of cost effective remedial strategies. Assist in and potentially lead efforts in preparing:
  • work plans, feasibility study, and long-term monitoring reports
  • Reports
  • Cost estimates
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to CADD/GIS operators, designers, technicians, and field personnel.
  • Assist in proposal preparation efforts. Potential to participate in technical and sales presentations to clients.
  • This position will have non-field related responsibilities.
  • Position does not require travel.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a B.S. degree in Engineering, Advanced Engineering Degree preferred; and a minimum of 1 year of related mechanical experience.
  • 1 year experience in the heavy industry field, perferable in plant engineering.
  • Candidates with 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and current 8-hour refresher training are preferred. Other OSHA training is desirable.
  • Engineer-in-Training certificate is desired.
