The Human Resources Systems Analyst Sr is a member of Panduit's HRMS team focused on the ongoing development & enhancement of the Company's global HCM system (Workday), as well as all global HR technology. This position serves as a functional or technical point of contact and provides strategic consultation regarding global HR technology solutions.
Responsible for supporting the HR business area and all HR related technologies. Works closely with HR process owners to anticipate technology needs, especially with changing business initiatives and acquisitions. HR areas supported include HR Operations, Centers of Expertise and Field HR. HR technology includes Workday, Knowledgebase/Case Management, integration with Oracle and all Interfaces to internal downstream systems and external vendors.
Oversees and manages the health and performance of business processes or integrations within the HR suite of technology tools. Will ensure flawless execution of operations by identifying and correcting defects, building new interfaces, and proactively finding / delivering against opportunities that streamline operations. Plays an on-going critical role as a leader/member of the project team delivering business and technology initiatives/acquisitions as well as annual business operations.
Through the strong relationships that he/she builds with internal business customers, understand the core functions and processes of each business function, the items of importance, and opportunities for improvement and ensure deliverables align with intended outcomes. Works collaboratively across IT, Finance and the business units to deliver results that enable HR while also aligning with Panduit's strategic framework.
What You Will Do
Act as an advisor for global HR technology related issues and provide strategic consultation regarding opportunities to leverage system capabilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Execute global HR technology strategy identifying opportunities for establishing consistency across regions. Partner with global HR colleagues to deliver HR solutions that enable the business to meet marketplace and regulatory demands. Responsible for delivering on HR/Benefits/Payroll related solutions identified by management. Expected to lead efforts in a manner that flawlessly execute against goals and objectives. This includes functional process improvements and/or technology integrations & implementations. Identify key HR issues with short to long-range impact to the client population and develop and implement recommended solutions leveraging HR technology. Anticipate, evaluate and respond to developments in the local and international environments impacting HR and HR Systems. (25%)
Provide operational support to critical systems/integrations: HR/Benefits/Payroll, ensuring that the overall health and performance is working to the desired level (as identified by management). Embrace the principle of "continuous improvement" identifying and proposing opportunities to improve the overall cost structure, quality, cycle time, & capabilities of HR technology in support of business needs. (25%)
Engage with the business and outside vendors and understand business practices and processes. Identify technological capabilities that enable, enhance business outcomes. Document requirements, and translate into technology process and associated tools. Define data requirements and document design specifications. Work with customers and outside vendors on planning, documenting requirements, options & recommendations, design, built and testing, including Unit, System, Integration and Payroll Parallel Testing, as needed. Identify, prioritize, escalate and resolve testing issues. (20%)
Proactively build reports, both operational and analytical, to track the workforce, give insight into employee data, and highlight trends. Function as the data and reporting expert by understanding the HR data landscape and provide insight on where data resides, what limitations there may be, and what needs to be done/understood to use it as actionable information. Includes the following: Promote self-service reporting with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies. Enable HR team by arming them with reporting tools and training in order to effectively meet business needs. Routinely solicit voice of customer (VOC) feedback for the ongoing development/enhancement of reports offered to the business. Reporting governance ownership; work with Centers of Expertise (COE) to develop and publish standard, recommended reports to support COE programs or compliance requirements. Has overall responsibility for report catalog ensuring available reports are accurate, current, and useful. Create & publish necessary dashboards in support of defined HR metrics Identify/analyze trends related to critical HR metrics & make recommendations to HR Leadership Team for risk mitigation. (20%)
As required, perform Workday administrative functions such as security maintenance, business process and tenant configuration, data loads, and upgrades based on impact to reporting & integrations. Provide technical training and support to HR Technology users. (10%)
What You Will Bring
Required Degree: Bachelor's degree or 8+ years related work experience in Information Systems, Business, Human Resources or a related area in lieu of a degree.
Certificate(s): Workday Pro certification(s) in two or more of the following areas: Absence, Benefits, HCM Core, Performance & Talent, Recruiting, Reporting, Core Connectors & Document Transformation, Integrations, Studio
Minimum 4 years Workday hands-on functional configuration and/or implementation of Workday integration solutions
10+ years integrating systems with third-party service vendors related to HR functions
12+ HRMS experience with proven track record in delivering and operating technological solutions.
Functional or technical experience with HRMS: HR, Benefits and/or Payroll systems and data interfaces. Skills required include:
Strong working knowledge of Human Resources operations. Broad HR process expertise and the ability to work across workstreams (i.e. Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, Time Off)
Thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering.
Proficient in defining functional business and data requirements, functional design and techical requirements, participating in unit and system testing and overseeing UAT.
Knowledge of ERP solutions & current marketplace offerings and trends
Ability to interact with both functional users during requirements gathering and technical staff when discussing detailed technical components of a solution.
Logical reporting skills especially being able to understand human capital trends within the Company
Experience working in a global environment
Additional Functional Requirements: Demonstrated experience in integrating multiple, diverse processes and systems within a hybrid cloud environment where cloud and on premise & SaaS systems need to interact. Expertise in the full range of Workday proprietary tools (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, EIB, BP Config); strong knowledge of Workday reporting concepts including knowing the types of reports that can be developed
Additional Technical Requirements: Solid experience with ETL (extract, transform, load) process. Experience working with large data sets (analysis, transports, exception reporting, error correction). Solid knowledge of and demonstrated integration development experience with Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, EIB, iLoad, XMLT, and Web Services. Experience with BI tools including strong Microsoft Excel skills; Experience with Workday's PRISM Analytics preferred.
