Loan Trading Documentation - Trading Services Associate II

Wholesale Lending Services Middle Office Overview:

WLS provides global end to end loan support including, but not limited to, Loan Origination, Deal Closing & Funding, Trade Confirmations, Closing & Settlements, Special Credit Services, and Syndicated/Agent Bank Booking and Servicing.

The Loan Trading Documentation Team within the WLS Middle Office primarily supports the North America Credit Trading, Loan Total Return Swap and Syndicated Leverage Finance businesses within the Corporate and Investment Bank and is responsible for primary and secondary trade closing support and Third Party Agency Review.

Position Summary:

This role is for a Team Lead/Manger within the Loan Trading Documentation team. The Loan Trading Operations Manager will have oversight responsibilities for a team of professionals who support the North America Credit Trading and Loan Total Return Swap desks through the coordination and settlement of assignments.

Ongoing Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 9 Trade Support Specialists
• Work with front office traders, sales coverage, clients, counsel and operations to resolve any trade closing issues
• Coordinate settlement efforts with various groups throughout the IB and CB
• Act as signatory for assignments
• Review LSTA standard documents and other legal documents including Trade Confirms, Assignment Agreements, Proceeds letters, Participation agreements, Cash collateral agreements and Multilateral Agreements
• Review Credit Agreements, specifically assignability language
• Monitor, track and report on all escalated issues using appropriate workflow tools
• Work on projects focused around tightening control gaps for daily processes
• Monthly/weekly/daily reporting to senior management for open trades and trading metrics is required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5 years of financial services or loan operations experience is required.
• Ability to effectively manage a team of junior staff within the organization
• Self-motivated with strong initiative
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Detail orientated individual that can work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to work effectively across groups within the organization
• Strong focus on control and process improvement
• Have a passion to understand details behind numbers and/or processes
• Able to foster a team-oriented environment
• Strong conflict resolution/ negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with loan-based software (LoanIQ,ClearPar)
• Experience with LSTA standard documentation; Knowledge of the LSTA Standard Terms and Conditions
• Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and/or experience supporting a trading business
• Familiarity with syndicated loans
