Job Description
The Division of Information Technology is looking for a Learning Technology Assistant (LTA) to work directly within The Office of Learning Technology to support the everyday needs of all learning and administration spaces across campus. The Learning Technology Assistant (LTA) position is vital to the success of everyday technology at Stevens. This position will assist full time employees in the support, maintenance, and user experience of all technology in classrooms, lecture halls, labs, and conference rooms across the entire campus. This position will also provide technical assistance and support during events as requested or as needed. It is important that the Learning Technology Assistant (LTA) be familiar with the campus, its equipment, policies, programs, services, and the day-to-day operations of the academic schedule. This position offers the opportunity to grow as a student and professional within the fields of Audio Visual, Information Technology, and Project Management.
Applicants must:
Be Stevens Undergraduate Student; Junior, Sophomore or Freshman preferred
Be in good academic standing.
Be able to work on campus, no remote positions are available
Qualifications
Entry level competency in Audio Visual technologies including projectors, televisions, microphones, speaker systems, web cameras, etc.
Entry level competency in LAN/TCP/IP protocols
Competency in video conference technologies such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic and highly collaborative environment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Competency in Windows and/or Mac OS platforms
Excellent written and communication skills
Ability to work seamlessly in a team or individually at any given time
Ability to lift 30lbs
Competency in using basic hand tools
Competency in video production and editing is a plus but not required
