Hours: Full Time

Location: Richmond, Monument Location

To direct the benefits & wellness programs for U.S. employees.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with Finance and Compensation to define an US employee Total Rewards strategy. Analyzes US benefit options then develops and communicates programs in compliance with applicable federal and state laws. Leads the RFP process and contract negotiations for all US employee benefits and manages the implementation of new or changed programs. Prepares and files required tax returns and governmental reports, including PCORI taxes and Medicare creditable coverage notifications. Remains current on benefit trends and programs.


  • Leads the enrollment process for all staff employee benefits. Prepare communication and training materials related to benefits and benefit policies.  Provide effective service to assist staff and retirees in understanding their benefits and/or resolving problems they encounter.


  • Serve as Workday HRIS administrator for Benefits and Absence, including maintaining benefit plans, rates, vendor information and enrollment sessions in Workday. Collaborate with Workday Product Analyst to customize Workday reports to administer benefit programs. 


  • Manage, design, and implement wellness programs designed to improve employee health. Facilitate changes and/or additions to programs that reflect the changing needs of the employees and changing wellness program trends.


  • Review expenses to create forecasts of budget trends and prepare the annual benefits budget. Monitor budget performance and approve benefit program expenses throughout the year.


  • Assign, monitor, and evaluate the work and progress of the Benefits Analyst. Provide training and coaching as needed. Conduct quarterly performance conversations and an annual performance appraisal.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferred


  • SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CEBS or other benefits designations preferred


  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar position


  • Experience managing employees


  • Strong analytical skills, reviewing reports and data


  • Advanced process management skills, planning and managing multiple benefit programs


  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS System (Workday preferred)


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Experience making benefits' presentations to leadership


  • Experience negotiating benefit contracts


  • Solid customer service skills
