Mechanics Bank is seeking their next Branch Managerto sit out of our Gonzales, CA Branch.
Manages a Retail Branch. Exercises executive and administrative direction over the office, ensuring compliance and a high level of customer service. Oversees the operations of the office, directing and developing subordinates who are providing a full range of banking products and services. Retains and expands relationships with existing customers and promotes and develops and new business. Represents the Bank in the community. Models and leads all sales functions inside the branch office.
What you will be doing:
Manages a Retail Branch office and is responsible for overall performance including achievement of sales and service goals. Determines sales goals and provides coaching, direction and guidance to employees in the achievement of those goals. Personally performs sales activities.
Manages and provides leadership to branch supervisors and employees. Performs human resource management tasks including; hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, salary increases, coaching, training, development, and disciplinary actions. Ensures that compliance training and standards are met.
Responsible for overall branch operational soundness, quality and efficiency. Provides direction and guidance to the Branch Services Officer. Ensures that the branch is following Bank policies and procedures. Ensures that compliance training and standards are met.
Actively works with internal and external business partners to meet assigned goals and client expectations.
Executes on Region plan for business development. Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders and achieves a significant presence of the Bank in the community.
Ensures active community participation and leadership, including CRA activities, in the local community.
Who you are:
Minimum 7 Years Technical Experience and Minimum 3 Years Leadership Experience
High School Diploma/GED; Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
Excellent interpersonal skills; successful experience managing and leading people.
Thorough knowledge and skills related to standard banking services and products and banking internal operating policies and procedures.
Ability to motivate employees to provide excellent customer service, demonstrate initiative, and achieve results.
Sound working knowledge of small business and consumer credit principles and practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills; successful experience managing and leading people. Considered a customer service role model.
Excellent business development skills, particularly related to financial service products.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff from a variety of backgrounds.
