The Associate Engineer will support Gene Therapy Process Development labs at the Sarepta Burlington, MA site. The role will support scientists and engineers by owning all aspects of laboratory support including but not limited to, ordering and receiving, equipment maintenance, solution/buffer prep, glassware cleaning and implementation of safety initiatives in the labs. Priorities are assigned weekly by Manager.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Ordering, tracking and inventory management of common lab supplies, safety glasses, disposable lab coats.
Managing site chemical inventory and chemical compounds for the labs.
Preparing solutions and buffers and media
Dirty labware collection, glass wash and autoclaving, and clean labware re-stocking.
Coordinating equipment calibration and preventive maintenance schedules.
Small equipment maintenance.
Managing equipment asset induction and status record updates in Sarepta's asset management system.
Coordinating lab safety inspections.
Shipping and receiving materials.
General lab maintenance and space planning.
Coordinating new equipment installation. Storage and disposal of retired or inactive equipment.
Ability to support scientists and engineers with routine operations while executing daily tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Education and Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent with some level of lab experience. B.S. in a scientific disciple preferred.
Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Previous experience with Oracle ERP procurement software and Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management software is highly desirable.
Able to handle multi-task workload and perform effectively under deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are necessary.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
