Job Description:

As the HRIS Manager, you will share a vision and passion for systems and processes to transform the way HR services are delivered to the organization. You will support with leading the implementation, operation and upgrade of people systems, processes and reporting to ensure we are maximizing our use of technology (Cornerstone, SharePoint, Cherwell, Workday, etc.),

Lead a team of HRIS analysts in the planning, design, and delivery of discrete projects within the HRIS group. The manager both coordinates and participates in the work output of the team and coaches and develops team members to support business, project, team and departmental goals. In addition to team leadership, the position spends significant time focused on the development of business requirements, configuration and testing.

What you will be doing:


  • Develop and build on an understanding of Bright Horizons businesses, population and culture to drive end user experiences.

  • Manage day to day operations of the HR Information system for assigned area of responsibility.

  • Establish departmental and interdepartmental procedures to improve operational efficiencies, leverage technology and provide improved customer service.

  • Work with the Director, HRIS to optimize HRIS systems by suggesting opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes.

  • Lead projects based on business and HR strategies by developing requirements, building/testing, and preparing a plan for change management and go live.

  • Work effectively with vendors to fully scope and estimate initiatives and ensure that initiatives meet cost, scope and timeline objectives and constraints.

  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate each team member's contributions.

  • Monitor team performance and take steps to mitigate issues and drive optimal performance.

  • May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

What we hope you can bring to this role:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7 years of progressive HR experience required with exposure to multiple functional areas (Learning Management System - Preferably Cornerstone and Workday with some experience with compensation, performance management, employee relations, HR systems, talent acquisition etc.).

  • 10additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree

  • 2+ years of leadership experience leading teams of 2 or more staff.

  • Experience working with various HR systems (i.e. Cornerstone, Workday, SharePoint).

  • Demonstrate the ability to design and present solutions across the HR Technology Portfolio with options to business and HR stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present findings or challenges to all levels of staff and management.

  • Proven leader with ability to engage and motivate direct and indirect reports.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage many competing priorities and thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze problems, document needs and communicate these needs to a variety of audiences.

  • Demonstrated skill managing multiple priorities.

The compensation range for this role starts at $95,000.
