Job Description:

The RHD Animal Research Administrative Assistant position shall assist Attending veterinarian (AV) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Chair to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations and policies. Maintain the schedule and records for post-approval monitoring of protocols, semi-annual inspections, and site visits. Track all trainings, occupational health status, protocols, animal numbers and provide reports on the status of each. Provide quality control for the administrative area of the Animal Care and Use Program. Provide administrative support to the branch to ensure the research mission. The RHD Animal Research Administrative Assistant position supports the U.S. Air Force 711th HPW and requires a Tier 1 background check clearance.
