Your Role
The IT Shared Services team is responsible for delivery services, quality engineering, release, and change management. The IT Compliance and Process Governance Specialist will report to the Sr Manager of IT Process Governance. In this role you will be responsible to ensure IT Shared Services is audit ready and all the corrective action plans are remediated in a timely manner. In addition, you will help drive the flow of delivery with continuous process governance improvements. Your Work
In this role, you will:
Have the following IT Process Governance responsibilities:
Support and drive IT shared process governance forum in support of Business and IT roadmap initiatives.
Produce and maintain a prioritized portfolio / backlog of process improvement opportunities.
Share backlog with respective Process SMEs to inform prioritization and implementation of process refinement / changes
Collaborate across Process SMEs, as needed, to ensure overall process workflows are optimally designed for delivery excellence
Facilitate resolution of conflicts among key stakeholders (e.g., Portfolio Lead, Product Owner) and serve as an escalation point for process SMEs
Manage processes maturity, including defining process KPIs, baselining and performance measurement
Have the following IT Compliance / Audit responsibilities:
Proactively lead identification and scoping of impacts across IT Shared Services organizational units due to newly enacted or revised government regulations or industry standards; Blue Cross Blue Shield Association policies; and Covered California or other customer contractual requirements
Work collaboratively and advise single or multiple teams across IT on the development of compliant solutions for newly enacted or revised policies and related controls
Document final compliance solutions, identified risks and mitigation plans in a controlled document
Monitor implementation to ensure on track, risks are identified, mitigation plans are developed; escalates as appropriate
Support the implementation of quality, repeatable and documented compliance and risk management processes
Conduct IT Policy adherence and Controls effectiveness verification, compliance assessments and risk assessments; where gaps are identified, validate quality, timeliness and progress of corrective action or mitigation plans
Escalate and propose resolution for moderately complex control effectiveness, compliance, risk, and process issues
Develop, prepare and present low to medium complexity analyses, reports and recommendations, to IT Policy and Controls, Compliance and Risk Management and other stakeholders
Support day to day operations of IT Policy and Controls, Compliance and Risk Management
Support other IT Policy and Controls, Compliance and Risk Management initiatives and projects and performs other duties as assigned
Partner with other IT Compliance and Risk Management team members regarding technology risks
Other duties as assigned
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a college degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience
Requires thorough experience in development of IT policy and associated control definitions. Includes experience in defining and designing and testing operational process and procedures, and associated documentation and artifacts
Requires extensive experience in IT compliance and/or risk management and health care
Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
Typically, viewed as a specialist within discipline. May have broad knowledge of project management
