The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky is a 427-bed nursing home facility. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for those veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and special care for veterans with Memory Care needs.

The Home opened in 1888 to care for veterans of the Civil War and has been in continuous operation since. We pride ourselves in providing superior care to Ohio's veterans. Watch the video below for more information on our homes.

What you'll do:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operates commercial/standard kitchen equipment to cook foods, mixes salads, makes desserts, dressings & breads, prepares hot & cold beverages & special menu foods, slices meat & cheese, makes sandwiches


• Assembles fruit plates & relish trays & cleans & cuts vegetables & meats before cooking & mixing


• Sets up food lines


• Portions food on serving lines


• Sets up trays & carts


• Packs food for delivery to dining areas & storage


• Cleans work area, equipment & utensils


• Performs any additional job related duties as assigned

Pay
