Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Packs and closes bag products with respect to production, quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner.

FUNCTIONS:

1. Packages designated products as instructed.

2. Obtains proper bags from packaging areas.

3. Maintains proper bag weights and records data as required.

4. Sets, cleans and adjusts code daters, sealers and bag turners.

5. Samples product and reports irregularities to shift supervisor.

6. Obtains packaging materials from Bagroom when loss of production could occur when Bagroom Operator is not available.

7. Maintains clean working area around packing station.

8. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.


• Knowledge of basic math.


• Oral and written communication skills.


• Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned.


• Must have interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

This position is on 2nd shift that starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM.
