Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to lead, develop and manage direct report Team Members, creating a culture that is rooted in safety, excellent customer service and a drive for results

• Divide strategic objectives and initiatives into actionable tactical plans and successfully execute those plans within the location

• Recommend and implement necessary action to improve revenue generation and profitability within the location

• Deliver on location margin and profitability targets

• Evaluate location expenditures ensuring controllable expenses remain within monthly budget guidelines

• Work closely with corporate credit & collections to ensure that all procedures are properly carried out and location A/R is collected in a timely manner

• Working with the sales team, develop market strategies to target potential customers in each channel

• Utilizing feedback from the sales team and customer contacts, determine customer needs and competitive pricing requirements

• Support and promote company-wide sales initiatives and ensure national account service requirements for the location are met

• Maintain positive customer relationships, for Wayne Dalton Sales and Service/Overhead Door, in collaboration with and support of the sales team

• Identify, monitor and manage customer service standards, including timeliness and professionalism

• Mentor, coach and support the Field Operations Managers to deliver on direct labor utilization, margin and customer satisfaction metrics within the region

• As a member of the Operations Leadership team, working with the VPO, Business Process Lead, and other RGMs/BMs to identify, develop and implement best practices and SOP’s for the company and within the region

• Proactively support the ISD/ODC safety program and initiatives, comply with all safety policies and procedures (including customer site specific programs), and ensure utilization of safe work practices on site, in the warehouse and office

• Support the Warehouse Supervisor in development and maintenance of procedures to manage inventory turns, min-max levels, shipping and receiving, vendor warranty, and local purchasing

• Execute timely communication though regular meetings with Team Members, adhering to a minimum standard of the corporate and location governance schedule

• Maintain a positive attitude and communication style with customers and Team Members in all circumstances

• Supply research that corroborates expansion into unsupported markets.

Experience

• 12+ years of progressive experience, with 5+ years in a management capacity

• Experience in industry with a service and installation or distribution company, preferably in a construction environment

Technical & Practical Skills

• Ability to develop and implement processes

• Strong organization and decision making ability

• Good negotiation skills and persuasive ability

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

Education Requirements

1. Post secondary education in business management, commerce, or related field is preferred

2. A record of continuing education in leadership and business management related topics is desirable

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time in a non-climate controlled environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
