SUMMARY:

This buying role will be responsible for assorting, planning and managing RVCA/Element/DC Shoes for our retail locations. They will report to the Director of Buying.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Buyer - RVCA/Element/DC Shoes will be responsible for managing specific categories under the supervision and leadership of the Director of Buying.

Responsibilities will include:

• RVCA/Element/DC Shoes - Men's and Women's Apparel, Swim, Accessories and Footwear


• Work collaboratively with the brands to highlight marketed stories and execute the brand vision in store


• Work with Visual Merchandising to set directives in store


• Collaborate with Brand specific marketing teams to develop POP and Window Signage


• Execute assortment plans to meet seasonal sales and margin targets


• OTB and Inventory Management


• Evaluate selling and reporting weekly/monthly to leadership


• Order creation and entry


• SKU Maintenance


• Manage transfer and markdown files for designated categories


• Work cross functionally with planning, allocation, visual merchandising, marketing, and store teams


• Work with Director of Buying on career development and growth plan


• Additional tasks as needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint


• Strong Retail Math skills


• Ability to analyze and generate accurate sales, turn, and margin reports


• Highly organized and strong prioritization skills - comfortable handling multiple categories efficiently


• Ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced environment - flexible as day to day may change


• Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency


• Trend forecasting and Industry knowledge


• Ability to learn internal business systems


• Strong verbal and communication skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• 2+ Years as a Softgoods Buyer


• Successfully managed a category in previous experience


• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher
