Production Operations Lead at Beta Technologies in SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vermont

Job Description:

The Production Operations Lead will be a self-motivated individual responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. This individual will be a key member of the Manufacturing Operations team and will be tasked with standing up safe, efficient, and quality work practices for Beta's eVTOL production lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hire, coach, lead and develop a team to achieve established targets and goals.


• Develop and execute production team strategies (short and long-term).


• Build and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).


• Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive a continuous improvement and operational excellence culture.


• Champion development of a learning culture that embraces innovation.


• Support, partner, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.


• Maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield while adhering to best safety practices and optimal use of resources.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 5 years related manufacturing experience, 3+ years management experience leading production teams in a dynamic environment.


• BA/BS Degree from an accredited college or university.


• Experience with process improvement methodologies.


• Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.


• Excellent leadership skills, having the ability to make decisions and capable of operating in an entrepreneurial manner.


• Strong sense of urgency to succeed.


• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills


• Passionate about sustainability and aerospace
