Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician is responsible for addressing a variety of challenges and performing associated maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The position is more than electrical work as this technician will self-perform or assist other technicians with advanced repairs throughout the campus. The role works under minimal supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures, compliance, and protocols. Ensure that pre-task planning is complete for each and every task.


• Must be flexible, able, and willing to assist in maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment including but not limited to: Electrical systems up to 480 volts AC, lighting, controls, pumps, piping, plumbing, doors, dock equipment, air handlers, steam systems, walls, flooring, and much more


• Install, maintain, and repair electrical pumps, electrical motors, electrical heaters, and assist with air handling equipment, piping systems, water systems, and steam systems


• Performs electrical maintenance and troubleshooting throughout the campus. Potentially performs or assist with welding, fabrication, repairs, and modifies a variety of industrial equipment


• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.


• Support others to maintain facility related equipment making adjustments as necessary.


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred


• Must be 21 years old or older


• Five (5) or more years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance work is required


• Must possess applicable certifications, licenses and a valid driver's license


• Must be flexible on duties and schedule


• Must be able to perform the duties listed above including: electrical, welding, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical


• Ability to work independently


• Ability to perform work at heights using fall protection gear


• Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces


• Ability to frequently lift and or move a variety of objects up to 75 pounds


• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders.
