If you are looking for an opportunity to build Product Management experience and drive the development of new technology, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you.  We are seeking a Software Product Manager that will be able to connect customer needs to our software development roadmap.  You will be part of a global user interface team that develops software interfaces for our digital valve instrumentation using human centered design principles. 

AS A SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL: 


  • Build connections with customers, sales representatives, and other users to understand market needs
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research studies to grow your industry and application knowledge
  • Conduct usability studies to understand how to improve the user experience
  • Work directly with our software engineering development and test teams to develop requirements and guide design decisions
  • Manage global product launches and release activities

WHO YOU ARE:You identify and seize new opportunities.  You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.  You engage in collaborative planning.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  •  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or Software Development or a Marketing degree with product management emphasis.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%  
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • 2 Years of Process Industry experience
  • 5 Years of software product management experience
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in science and technology
