If you are an Accounting professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Marshalltown, IA location, you will be responsible for all orders and projects that require progress billing by Flow Controls customer base.
 
AS THE PROGRESS PAYMENT ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL: 

• Manage the progress billing milestone activities necessary to generate accurate invoicing statements


• Be the liaison between Emerson-Customer Financial Services (CFS), Emerson Impact Partner, Engineering Procurement Contractor (EPC), Flow Controls Project Management team, and Flow Controls Accounting staff.


• Interpret and resolve billing issues


• Review customer requests from quotations to ensure customer requested billing milestones can be achieved


• Obtain copies of purchase orders, all PO revisions, Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, etc. to understand customer billing requirements.


• Troubleshoot and resolve invoicing issues


• Reconcile sales commissions and all projects to the general ledger

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• High School diploma or GED


• 3+ years of related experience


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel


• Detail oriented with strong reconciliation skills


• Analytical problem solving and investigative skills


• High degree of honesty and integrity


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
