Schndier Electric is looking for an Architect for the IoT Data processing and Data storage team.  

You will be responsible for desiging and architecting the Big data solutions. You will work with engineering, product, and business teams to design and architect the IoT Data Processing and Data Storage solution. You will provide right level of technical support to the engineering team and eliminate design and architectural bottlenecks.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design and architect the scalable solultions for IoT data processing and data storage


• Use big data technologies to design , develop distributed, fault-tolerant scalable solultions. 


• Participate in discussions with customers to understand the requirements and provide support in defining the scoping / sizing the work.


• Translate the business requirements in to technology requirements.


• Colloborate with internal architect community and ensure organizational best architectural pratices are followed.


• Monitor the system performance on a regular basis and tune the system accordingly to ensure the best performance.  


• Support the migration of data form legacy systems to new systems. 


• Stay current on latest technology, build PoC’s, to evolve the design architecture to benefit from the latest technolog. 


• Provide technical guidance to development teams.

• Overall 10+ year experience in software design, architecture and development. 


• 5+ years of experience in designing, architecting the software platforms as an architect  


• 3+ years of  working experience with Big data technologies as an architect. 


• Prior experience with designing and architecting data platforms that are scalable, high performing, and lower in operations cost


• Proven experience in managing and working with teams based in multiple geograhies.


• Good knowledge of Agile software development methodology.


• Hands-on knowledge of big data technologies (Stream processing, Data Lakes, Time series data), containers, API designing and implementing is a must.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills.
