Job Description:

Overview

Provides support to the nursing leaders of the Fetal Care Center (FCC) and Women's Services in the planning and management of the FCC services (inclusive of reporting and oversight of repairs, new equipment, liaison to environmental services ), patient experience initiatives, facility regulatory standards, and back -up support to administrative pool. At the direction of the PSM, formulates, establishes and implements policies and procedures pertaining to FCC operational affairs. Assists in the management of non-clinical business affairs of the FCC. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at YNHH is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. Responsibilities


  • 1. Special Projects

    • 1.1 Assists with the facilitation of renovation projects. Assists with the development and planning of special projects which may include space renovations, space allocations, equipment rental and leasing. Plans and oversees engineering and construction services to the FCC.

  • 2. Participates in projects, surveys and other information gathering activities.

  • 3. Administrative Support

    • 3.1 Assists in administrative activities collaborating with the PSM and department leadership. Interfaces with financial division representatives as required. Responsible for managing capital budget needs along with the procurement and generating status reports as needed.

  • 4. Equipment Management

    • 4.1 Assists in the coordination of equipment needs.

  • 5. Support to Leadership

    • 5.1 Shares in the responsibility for the efficiency of FCC operations as directed by the PSM.

  • 6. Other

    • 6.1 Serves as liaison with other Hospital, University, and Medical Center departments on FCC patient issues/needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

EXPERIENCE

At least five (5) years operational experience in a hospital setting.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Microsoft Office, Visio, Epic and other Business Objects skills.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

May include some travel to other DNs as needed to support FCC collaboration. As expected of all hospital staff positions.

Additional Information

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required. At least five years operational experience in a hospital setting. Requires good oral and written communication skills, basic project management skills, understanding of different complex clinical environments, and the ability to multitask. Special skills: Microsoft Office, Viso, Epic and other Business Objects skills. May include travel to other DNs as needed to support FCC collaboration.
