ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This role can be performed mostly remotely with occassional trravel (approximately 10%). Applicants must already be located within the U.S. and this position is not eligible for sponsorship. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with a solid technical background that is willing to build robust and maintainable applications using software development best practices. We value the willingness to build high quality software that solves real world business problems.

You will be responsible for ensuring that quality is in every step of the Software Development Life Cycle starting from solution requirements and design to customer sign off and acceptance.

You will work in very large projects initially, having the opportunity to also join smaller ones when needed. Although your end goal will be to deliver applications in the Call Center / Unified Communications space our projects usually involve interacting with multiple applications and technologies, such as CRMs, Service Desk Software and Analytics.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Write and execute test plans / test cases

  • Participate in agile activities, including daily standup, sprint planning, and sprint review meetings

  • Validate functional and non-functional requirements

  • Define automation strategies

  • Develop test scripts

  • Timely communicate risks and deviations

  • Performs issues triage and supports customer during User Acceptance testing

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:


  • Expertise in testing techniques, like black box testing, white box testing, boundary test, bottom-up testing, performance testing.

  • Hands on experience in API testing and Automation testing

  • Hands on experience in Java development

  • Issue management and bug management tools

  • Experience in agile methodologies

  • Fluent oral and written English skills

  • Nice to have prior Contact Center Domain knowledge

  • Good communication and customer facing skills.

  • Graduated in Software Engineering, with +5 years in QA field.

Working Environment and Conditions:


  • Work is performed with minimal direction and reviewed by local management and may include support to 3rd party products or services and occasionally on-site support.

  • Work is performed most of the time remotely, but occasional travel will be required - estimated at most 10% of the time

EDUCATION

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
