Job Description:


 



The Marketing Automation Manager is a critical contributor in executing our customer engagement strategy and will serve as the technical owner of Auction.com marketing automation platforms. This resource will be well versed in data integration and manipulation, email best practices, and cross-team project management.  This role serves as the liaison between marketing stakeholders and IT teams to ensure projects are delivered to the business teams that meet the needs of the business with a scalable architecture that also meets platform performance standards.



 



Responsibilities:



 




  • Support the implementation of Marketing campaign initiatives utilizing the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.


  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Marketing Automation platform, Web Analytics and is passionate about MarTech!


  • In-depth understanding of SFDC to build a world class Marketing Automation platform with strong emphasis on data hygiene & data integrity.


  • Translate Marketing business vision into systems strategies and technology architecture; design new technology processes/systems/methods as necessary.


  • Hand off new capabilities and marketing touch point technology to ensure successful mainstreaming and optimization for marketing performance.


  • Build & Oversee development of best in class marketing campaigns targeting the right customers with relevant message at the right time.


  • Provide technical inputs in development of complex campaigns/projects and help the team as required. 


  • Can roll-up sleeves and lead the way in implementing any complex campaigns/programs and perform POCs as required.


  • Hands-on experience of PL/SQL or SQL to pull ad-hoc data from database for analytics, list uploads etc.


  • Broad technological background with a focus on Java web technologies and an understanding of SQL development.


  • Development of code as needed to assist with integrations and new projects.


  • Knowledge of Salesforce technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security stack.


  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting of marketing automation tools


  • Take ownership of business outcomes, drive marketing performance and deliver compelling customer/prospect experiences. 


  • Drive excellence in leveraging the marketing automation tool to create best in class customer experiences.


  • Manage intermediate level enhancements and fixes including items such as adding custom fields, creating email templates, etc.


  • Develop best practices for leveraging the marketing automation tool and socialize with cross-functional stakeholders.


  • Take ownership of business outcomes, drive marketing performance and deliver compelling customer/prospect experiences. 


  • Define and document the functional and technical requirements for executing (developing, deploying, managing, tracking and measuring) the automated campaigns.


  • Define the day-to-day operational scheduling, plan and execute complex projects around customer journeys, and prioritize campaign execution.


  • Track automated program performance, mining insights, and recommending data –driven optimization avenues to campaign owners is a given to improve demand-gen.


  • Work collaboratively with change enablement team to provide communications and training on marketing automation tool.


  • Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing activities


  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting of marketing automations and triggered processes.


  • Partner with 3rd party contractors and vendors to enhance digital marketing communications sent via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.


 


    Requirements:


    • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science / Information Technology / Web Design / Marketing required Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science / Information Technology / Web Design / Marketing required 

    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification (SFMC Certified Consultant and/or SFDC Certified Administrator a plus) 

    • 5 years of increasing experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred) 

    • 4 years of database/direct marketing experience 

    • 4-6 years of experience in Email or Web Design and development 

    • Advanced HTML, CSS, and Scripting skills. (AMPScript and Outlook/IE specific knowledge are a plus)  

    • Proven ability to derive, manipulate, synthesize, and apply findings to business problems to lift revenue and profits. 

    • Understanding of customer analytics, CRM, digital marketing, and customer data platform 

    • Understanding of data warehouses and Big Data technologies 

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills




    Salary:

    $132,000.00
