Assistant Professor of Computer Science at University of Houston - Victoria in Victoria, Texas

Job Description:

The School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Houston-Victoria invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting in Spring 2022 or Fall 2022.

The applicant is expected to have the ability to work in multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary settings; have experience in teaching online courses; experience in research and grant applications.

Required qualifications: A doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related fields is required. ABD candidates may be considered if the doctorate degree is expected by August 2022. Evidence of effective teaching and potential to establish a sustainable research track is required. 

Preferred qualifications:  Research and/or teaching experience and leadership in computer graphics, digital gaming and simulation, game engines, game programming, game design, 3D animation and virtual reality is preferred.

This position is based in Victoria, a city of about seventy thousand in coastal bend region of Texas, with easy reach to gulf beaches and major cities like Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
