Some things you can expect to do:



Job Description



  • Direct, schedule, supervise and perform preventative maintenance work, service response, equipment repairs and projects on assigned managed properties and 3rd party maintenance.

  • Solicit bids and monitor performance from subcontractors for all necessary testing and inspection on buildings mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.

  • Proactively work with real estate manager to ensure:

    • Proper services are provided to the buildings.

    • Development, monitoring of building budgets.

    • Project planning and completion.

    • Tenant improvement planning and coordination.

    • Development or adjustment and implementation of building emergency plans.



  • Respond professionally and expeditiously to tenant and service requests.

  • Monitor/order and approve purchases for building supplies and materials.

  • Participate in on call, after hours and weekend rotation.

  • Supervise three to five maintenance engineers and or maintenance technicians.


To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal communication skills and a helpful attitude when interacting with building occupants. Must have a two-year technical degree or other equivalent education and at least 5 years of experience in a commercial environment along with formal supervisory training. You must have a CFC certification with refrigeration repair experience. Must also have excellent working knowledge of building mechanical, automation, electrical and fire protection systems. You must have a clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications, and ability to lift 50 lbs. You must also be able to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.


You will really stand out if you:



  • Have SMA, SMT, or LEED certification

  • Have experience with pneumatic controls and district energy
