Flow Process Engineer - West Jordan at Danone North America in West Jordan, Utah

ABOUT THE JOB:

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We have an opening for a Process Engineer for our Flow Department (Warehouse) in our West Jordan, Utah manufacturing plant. The Flow Process Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality as defined in the plant and departmental procedures. In this role, you will identify and evaluate project opportunities. You will validate processes by collecting data and testing different parameters, and proactively and creatively drive efforts to enhance efficiency and processes throughout the department.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Create OPLs (one-point lessons) and Training Operators


• Provide Shift Supervisor Coverage


• Losses Tracking


• Process Quality and KPI Tracking


• Driving Continuous Improvement - KPI/Action Plan


• Ensure consistency of standards across shifts and leads development of key programs within the cell (zoning, risk analysis, DMS, etc.)


• Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU:

• You will have a Bachelor or master's degree in a related field (i.e. Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), required.


• You have prior Supervisory experience, required. Solid technical knowledge of food science and familiarity with a food manufacturing environment, preferred


• You are self-motivated with a high level of responsibility and professionalism


• You have proven ability to successfully lead in a collaborative team environment, and have excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines


• You are flexible and have ability to adapt to changing priorities


• You have a strong business acumen


• You have demonstrated creativity, and can follow direction and work independently


• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong math, computer, and logic skills


• You have excellent organization skills and meticulous record keeping skills
