As aSoftware Quality Engineering Intern, you will work on a variety of software operations and quality tasks and gain valuablehands-on exposure to our state-of-the-art 3D multi-physics simulation solutions.This position is a paid, full-time, 6-month co-op/internship located in our Johnston, RI office.
What will your role be?
Discover the role of a 3D Simulation Operations & Software Testing Intern:
Track release objectives, schedule gates, perform release convergence operations management planning and follow-up, perform release readiness and risk assessments
Finding defects early in the software development process and be an active contributing member of our overall software product development and releases
Developing an understanding of, and conducting tests in, a variety of simulation execution environments including our rapidly growing HPC Cloud configuration
Developing an understanding of our products and how our users in a variety of Industries are using our simulation solutions
Learning and applying a variety of software test techniques and methods including functional correctness, performance, load and performance testing
Developing and applying critical thinking skills and root cause analysis techniques while analyzing tests results and associated data
Learning how to manage software development operations in a large, software development company. This includes developing an understanding of our R&D software development schedule and gates, using our R&D processes and tools

Your Key Success Factors
Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, Cloud Computing or Computer Science
Passionate and driven
Minimum GPA 3.0
Possesses excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
Exhibits proficiency using Microsoft Office
Possess a strong attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
