Position Overview
SkyVenture is the world leader in development, engineering, and manufacturing of wind tunnels for indoor skydiving for entertainment and training with 91 operational tunnels and more than 10 in planning or construction. Through our operations and franchising brand iFLY, we are also the market leader in the entertainment sector with 33 company owned facilities. To accommodate a rapidly expanding market, the SkyVenture Engineering team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our corporate office in Austin, TX. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a new position to strengthen our existing engineering team. The ideal candidate is a multi-tool engineer with significant breadth in both capability and experience. The Engineer will be responsible for new wind tunnel design, engineering, documentation, and validation. In addition, the role provides technical support for the Project Team, Sales, Supply Chain, Maintenance and Operations Team.
Duties & Responisbilities Technical - Applies advanced 3-D modelling techniques and design practices to develop products ranging from large-scale industrial machines to small-scale consumer products. Project Management - Assists with management of internal and external engineering resources on a project basis. Manufacturing Support & Quality - Develops external vendors to ensure manufacturing practices and processes create products that match original design intent.
Work Experience & Skills Required - BS Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical degree. Desired - MS Mechanical Engineering or closely related technical degree. |
