Your Responsibilities

As a Product and Precision Ag Production System Engineer in Silvis, IL or Des Moines, IA you will work cross-functionally with platform systems engineering, product line architects, and the tech stack organization to collaborate on architecture development. In addition, you will...


  • Have ownership of systems analysis at the production system and production operation levels including use cases, functional to form mapping, emergent property identification and prioritization, system requirements and system validation
  • Efficiently lead tradeoff analyses across product families' solution systems to balance both business requirements and customer requirements
  • Provide engineered mission-based outputs to the requirements process, guide prototypes and field trials, provide technology options, and inform investment decisions

What Skills You Need


  • 3 or more years of experience in system engineering
  • 5 or more years of demonstrated experience leading and collaborating with multifunctional design teams
  • 5 or more years of experience working at various levels of product development
  • Must be able to develop, manage, and communicate information in a clear and organized manner, including managing stakeholder relationships
  • Must be able to manage cross-functional team performance to achieve results and identify and resolve conflicts.
  • Must be able to develop insights via system engineering methodology in ambiguous situations
  • Must be capable and comfortable working in a team of teams work environment

What Makes You Stand Out


  • System engineering master's degree, certificate, or equivalent
  • Advanced technical degree, master's level or greater
  • Deep understanding of agricultural production with a focus on one or more of the following including corn, soy, small grains, sugar, or cotton.
  • Experience capturing articulated and unarticulated customer needs

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (agricultural, mechanical, electrical, computer, or equivalent)
