Purpose:

~ Position of Sr. Group Manager, Retail Process & Sales Satisfaction is responsible for development, implementation and communication of sales process improvement initiatives and training support to improve key dealership operational processes. Key focus is improvement of customer sales experience, customer satisfaction, dealer process improvement and owner loyalty. Additional focus on selection and oversight of vendor relationships. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

~ Working closely with RPSS vendors and HMA staff, oversee the development, implementation and management of various retail process improvement initiatives intended to improve the retail sales process, customer satisfaction and owner loyalty. Program examples include training (web-based, instructor-led, in-dealership), seminars and workshops. 

~ Manage programs intended to improve dealers performing at sub-standard levels in customer sales satisfaction.

~ Identify market and dealer process improvement opportunities, and develop/recommend measures for improvement; develop and recommend processes/programs to improve Hyundai Purchase Index (“HPI”) and JDPA Sales Satisfaction Index (“SSI”).

~ Oversee processes associated with Dealer Enhancement Program (“DEP”) All-Dealer Survey to ensure compliance with HMC requirements/standards, and meet annual performance requirements as set by HMC.

~ Manage process of vendor selection & oversee management of vendor relationships associated with Retail Process/Sales Satisfaction programs and responsibilities.

~ Oversee the development of tracking and measurement tools to gauge sales process improvement and dealer/regional standing versus objective.

~ Oversee process associated with budget development and management for Retail Process & Sales Satisfaction.

~ Communicate, cross-functionally, with other HMA departments to ensure maximum results in customer satisfaction and number syndicated studies (SSI, CSI, IQS, VDS, etc). 

~ Provide counsel to the regions and coordination of related activities.

~ Employee Development:  Management of direct reports (Manager, RPSS), providing development, training, coaching and direction to ensure position/candidate is adequately fulfilling the needs of HMA.

 

Authority:

~ As a Senior Group Manager, effectively coach, counsel and develop staff. 

~ Utilize the diverse talents of staff by efficiently managing staff’s time, materials and department budget while focusing on goals and vision of the company. 

~ Responsible for approval of staff expense reports, as well as department CR/PR documents associated with projects for Dealer Enhancement.

 

Education:

~ Bachelor’s  Degree preferred

~ Master’s Degree a plus

 

Related Experience:

~ Ten plus years of automotive wholesale experience with four (4) years in a supervisory capacity. 

~ Dealer and Regional level work experience a plus.

 

Skill/Knowledge:

~ Abiility to deliver complex projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.

~ Exceptional written and oral communcation skills.

~ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

~ Ability to collarborate with people at all levels of the organization.

~ Ability to manage budgets, payments and schedules.

 

Physical requirements:

~ Normal office duties
