DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a talented Director of Marketing Operations to join our growing Marketing team. This position would be ideal for someone who is looking to move from an advanced technical position to a leadership role at an expanding and well-respected company. As a key member of this high-performing group you’ll help us scale our programs across a variety of owned and paid channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, and lead nurturing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Manage a significant budget cost-effectively with the goal of marketing campaign optimization that improves KPIs and drives conversion

  • Oversee campaign operations, including managing and optimizing our owned and paid campaign channels such as marketing email, digital advertising programs, and related demand generation campaigns

  • Drive ongoing process improvement, and deliver robust performance analytics and insights throughout the marketing funnel and across all product areas

  • Support Marketing data management in conjunction with our IT and Sales teams

  • Implement, track and enhance ongoing nurture programs

  • Recommend, select and manage relevant enablement tools to optimize audience outreach for thought leadership and awareness campaigns

  • Work closely with web team and external agencies to maintain and improve SEO effectiveness

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS


  • As the leader of the Marketing Ops team you will manage both internal and external staff and work with your Marketing, analytics, and data-management peers across the company, so the ability to communicate effectively to set expectations and fearlessly read out performance impact of changes is essential.

  • Strong project management skills and an ability to juggle multiple priorities are required. We are a fun, friendly and supportive team, but we move quickly!

  • We utilize a variety of MarTech tools including Marketo, Microsoft BI, and Google Analytics.  Proficiency with Marketo is strongly preferred.

  • This is not a data scientist role, but extra credit given for familiarity with quality data visualization and the ways in which data can be translated to business intelligence

  • You must have sharp technical troubleshooting skills, and a proactive, problem-solving orientation; this position is a key part of the team that is breaking new ground and establishing new business processes

EXPERIENCE


  • Solid understanding of the current digital ad network management environment

  • Technical proficiency in an enterprise-level marketing automation system with preference for Marketo

  • Experience in B2B marketing preferred; if you have B2G marketing experience that is a bonus, but not required

  • Experience working with Marketing and Product subject matter and technical experts, with an ability to translate objectives into channel recommendations

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or related technical field

  • 5-7 years of experience in a senior operational role at a digital marketing agency, in-house digital marketing team, or similar environment.
