Job Description Summary : Position Summary:
The duties of the Process Improvement Coordinator include: quality improvement case reviews, data management, feedback, continuing education development and teaching, reporting, investigations and general staff training | Job Description :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist with monitoring performance standards of the Care Coordinators, Service Recovery Specialists and Transportation Coordinators in accordance with company standards and guidelines.
* Assist as needed with new hire training and continuing education

* Conduct case evaluations on random selections of Care Coordinators, Service Recovery Specialists and Transportation Coordinators phone calls for review and measurement of protocol compliance. Provide feedback to Members Service Center, Operation Managers and Quality Assurance Management Teams

* Serve as a liaison between the department administration/personnel and transportation providers' administration on any quality related

* Responsible for organization, filing and distribution of all QI data, findings, transportation, protocol enhancement, recommendations, documents and report

* Investigate and resolve escalated customer service complaint
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing to medical facilities and health plans on complaint questions and resolution
* Ability to complete monthly and quarterly task with strict completion deadlines
* Investigate and report on escalated customer complaints with detailed reporting back on findings
* Investigate and review denials and appeals of services

* Provide reporting to GMR customers regarding service levels, protocol compliance and other contract requirement

* Ability to complete monthly and quarterly tasks with strict completion deadlines
* Assist with maintaining URAC Accreditation

* Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:


Education/Licensing/Certification:

* High School Diploma or GED required

* BS/BA in related field preferred

Experience:

* Must have two years of Quality Assurance experience

* Lead or Quality Assurance experience preferred

* Healthcare experience preferred

* Management or leadership experience preferred


Other i.e. knowledge and skills:
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office application

* Must type 35 wpm

* Demonstrated familiarity with medical terminology is preferred

* Healthcare industry experience is preferred

* Must have effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
