General Summary:

As an Application Engineer for the Make-Up Air team, you will have the opportunity tosupportour many channels in product sales. This involves providing technical product and application support to our representatives, sales presentations in our Education Center, market competitive analysis and research, new product/feature definitions and development, along with much more.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical support via phone and e-mail for both internal and external salespeople in the areas of product selection and application

  • Develop and communicate solutions for unique applications, including design and special pricing

  • Develop and find solutions to field application problems

  • Assist/manage the development and updating of product literature

  • Responsible for identifying key selling points

  • Accountable for developing market studies.

  • Assist with product health analysis

  • Prepare detailed product definitions and related marketing functions associated with the product development process

  • Evaluates components for quality, reliability, and performance and advise engineering and purchasing as to those components which might enhance the product

  • Maintain familiarity with competitors' products and identify opportunities

  • Develop, organize, and present training seminars internally and externally

  • Conduct product training seminars and Education Center visits

  • May assist with planning/coordination and attendance of trade shows.

  • Coordinate Computer Aided Product Selection (CAPS) planning, testing, and development (Our Internal Sales/Engineering Program).

  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of products within CAPS.

  • Travel opportunities to assist our representatives in product training/sales presentations

Job Qualifications:

Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.

Between 0-5 years of work experience is required.
