Section 1: Position Summary



The Marketing Manager will play a key role in accelerating the growth of FuturePlan's business and national brand profile, focusing on strategic support and tactical execution for our rapidly growing Institutional Marketing program. The position will manage all aspects of marketing including planning, budgeting, project management, creation, distribution, and measurement, analysis, and vendor management. External client and internal stakeholder relationship management is also a large part of this role.



Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Develop and manage strategic programs that support Institutional Relationships and client retention

  • Guide creative teams' execution of the marketing plan tactics within budget parameters.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to distribute work among available resources

  • Create and drive an effective, measurable digital experience

  • Implement required procedures for effective delivery of all advisor channel programs and marketing materials

  • Manage high profile projects to ensure our positioning is compelling and differentiating to connect with our target audience

  • Monitor competitive positioning, stay current on industry trends and regulatory issues that impact our business

  • Collaborate effectively with product managers and other center of excellence marketing managers

  • Protect and securely handle all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

  • Demonstrate our I-Client service philosophy and ensure that our Core Values of People Matter, Quality First and Integrity Always are visible in your actions on a day to day basis showing your support of our organizational culture.

  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned



Supervision




  • No direct reports at the point of hire but will help grow our advisor marketing team, potentially including one or more direct reports within a few years, so aptitude and passion for people leadership/mentoring is essential


Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing

  • Retirement industry marketing experience or financial services marketing experience preferred but not essential

  • Deep understanding of (or strong interest in) the retirement industry, the advisor sales channel, and the role of TPAs in the market

  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to demonstrate interpretation capabilities and apply learnings across products and channels.

  • Ability to support materials like client presentations, RFPs, creative briefs, project plans, and cost estimates.

  • Exceptional research and writing skills; proficiency in data-driven strategy development and reporting

  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media marketing

  • Ability to plan effectively and execute complex projects

  • Relationship-building skills and a thoughtful consultative approach

  • Must be strong in email project management.

  • Must be strong in web project management and able to work with web operations and development teams.

  • Ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders and leaders

  • Strong project management abilities

  • Must be available for travel as business requires
