POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews International is seeking an Over-the-road Driver to join our Distribution Team in Aurora, Indiana for our memorialization business segment. The ideal candidate will have over the road commercial driving experience. The OTR Truck Driver will be responsible for the delivery of our manufactured product to our customers, Distribution Hubs, and vendors regionally or nationally primarily in the states of IN, WI, MN, IA, KY, MO, MI, OH, PA, GA, TN, NC with the majority of locations being company-owned with easy in and out access and quick turnaround times.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

*You will be driving company memorialization products regionally or nationally primarily in the states of IN, WI, MN, IA, KY, MO, MI, OH, PA, GA, TN, NC.
*You will be handling both pre and post trip inspections of vehicles.
*You will be interacting with customers, externally and internal employees on a daily basis.
*You will be responsible to comply with Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.

*Operating Commercial vehicles, Class A-CDL.
*Travelling over the road, delivering products in various states.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

*1+ years of previous driving experience of a Class A vehicle.
*Commercial Driver License, CDL A license.
*Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
*Routine travel either locally or nationally.
*Completion of a training course at an accredited truck driving school preferred.
*Ability to work overtime as necessary.

*Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
*May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.
*Often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel or exhaust.
*Occasionally exposed to bright or dim lighting conditions.
*Occasionally exposed to whole body vibration when driving a truck.
*Sometimes exposed to sounds or noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
