An established multispecialty medical clinic located in central Illinois is currently searching for an experienced Surgical Specialties Operations Director to join their award-winning team.


Serving a population of more than one million patients, this innovative and cutting-edge center has grown to provide nearly 100 medical specialties and sub-specialties. Equipped with the latest medical technologies that you typically find in large regional medical center’s, this facility is able to deliver a full scope of ancillary services including radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, audiology, dietetics, nutrition, ambulatory surgery, and endoscopy services. For more than 20 years, this organization has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.


Under limited direction of the VP of Operations, the Operations Director will lead the supervision and direction of the OBGYN, Plastics, and General Surgery areas. The Operations Director will work as a liaison between the surgical specialty areas and will ensure the completion of short and long-term goals in conjunction with the Physicians, Advanced Practitioners, Administrators, and Medical Practice teams. The overall goals of the Operations Director include analyzing impact and future trends, promote an optimal working environment, increasing community engagement, managing service line revenue, directing the operational plan, collaborating with other departments, and providing leadership throughout the Surgical Specialty areas. The Operations Director will be supported by an Operations Manager and a team of 150+ FTE’s and a team of 50+ Providers.


The Surgical Specialties Operations Director must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or another Healthcare related field, Master’s degree preferred. 5-10 years of prior experience in a medical senior leadership level role working in a hospital, physician owned, or managed care organization with specific surgical specialty experience is required. Process Improvement experience is highly preferred.
