Job Description:

An established, non-for-profit hospital located in the center of Coastal Virginia, is currently searching for an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech to join their cherished healthcare organization.

The Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech is responsible for delivering high quality patient care through efficient, knowledgeable, and safe performance in assisting physicians with Cardiac Catheterization and other procedures that he/she has received training i.e. electrophysiology, vascular. The Cardiovascular Cath Lab Technician will be responsible for utilizing clinical and technical expertise to plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures in order to ensure that all patients' physical and emotional needs are upheld.

 

Requirements Include:

Associate’s degree or higher

2+ years of Cath Lab experience

Strong knowledge of EKG rhythms 

Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program towards obtaining a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry. RCIS, RCVT, RCES, or registry eligible. 

ACLS and BLS certification required

 

In this role, the Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech will collaborate with the Registered Nurses, fellow Cath Lab members, and other staff physicians. Success will be maximized as Cath Lab Tech by actively participating in Cath Lab patient flow, room turnaround, and procedure preparation.
