Under the supervision of the Ultrasound Manager and/or Tech Specialist performs a wide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality Ultrasound exams as requested for subsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed in accordance with according departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Additionally, the Sonographer  is expected to work independently and assist others, help with daily oversight of operations, is capable of problem solving and take corrective action as necessary, and may be asked to assume responsibility for Ultrasound department operations in the absence of a supervisor. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as necessary, Ultrasound staff may be assigned at any of GH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly assigned work location.
