Quality Control Systems Engineer Job Description:

Cornerstone Building Brands is searching for a motivated and experienced quality control systems engineer for our EBS/Commercial Metal Building Brands. This individual will guarantee that our business follows industry welding and manufacturing standards along with internal guidelines. Duties will include reviewing, training, and managing the quality system, developing company procedures for compliance to IAS AC47, A660 and AISC standards, responding to policy violations and implementing corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will be professional, highly-analytical, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. To prosper in this role, you should be fluent in quality management systems and IAS AC472, A660, and AISC standards.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage an effective quality system and manufacturing compliance program under IAS AC472 guidelines.


• Develop and review company manufacturing and welding procedures to comply with industry regulations.


• Advise management on the company's compliance with AC472, A660, and AISC regulations through detailed reports.


• Create and manage effective corrective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.


• Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks.


• Assure that annual management reviews are conducted and documented assuring the adequacy and effectiveness of the quality system.


• Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes.


• Resolve employee concerns about compliance practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.


• 3 - 5 years proven experience in a quality role.


• Good knowledge of IAS AC472, A660, and AISC requirements and procedures.


• Good oral and written communication skills.


• Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail.
