SUMMARY:

The Director of Corporate Development supports the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and the Vice President, Corporate Development on acquisition, investment and other corporate finance related projects. This position will also have direct interface with G&W senior executives, including the CEO, CFO, President of North America, Chief Commercial Officer and other Senior Vice Presidents in leadership positions, along with representatives from our Shareholders.

This position has been posted multiple times as the role can be located out of our Corporate Office in Rochester, NY, Darien, CT, or Jacksonville, FL. Applicants only need to apply once for this position under their preferred location.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluation of both organic and external investment opportunities, including working as a business partner with existing G&W operations as well as on potential acquisitions and major strategic projects.


• Assist with research, economic analysis, due diligence and preparation of memoranda and presentations.


• Assist with development of valuation, negotiation strategies and participate in negotiations, as required.


• Manage projects from initiation by Region through to management approval.


• Develops economic models and prepares written memoranda and presentations, as required.


• Involved in the development and preparation of the long-term strategy of the Company.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Willingness and ability to travel.


• Interest or background in transportation and logistics a benefit.


• Excellent analytical and strong financial modelling skills; demonstrated ability to derive financial meaning and impact of decisions and recommendations.


• Outstanding problem solving and reasoning ability; possesses organizational skills and the ability to establish priorities that are results oriented.


• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written forms in a professional, coherent and organized manner to internal and external constituents and stakeholders.


• Expert ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.


• Well organized, resourceful and plans well; effective and efficient at marshalling multiple resources to get things done.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

• Degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  
  


• Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in corporate development / financial analysis / financial research / accounting / banking / investment role.
