Title: Data Technician

Type: Full-Time/Exempt

Reports to: Senior Product Manager

Description:

Terra Spectrum Technologies specializes in developing software for field data collection and analytics.  Our client list currently includes electric and gas utilities across the United States, and we are currently poised for significant growth in the natural resources and vegetation management industries.  Our flagship product, FieldNote, allows our clients to develop their own data collection forms and workflows to manage geospatial information and field crew production.  We are looking for an individual with a passion for solving complex problems with simple solutions who thrives in a small team atmosphere.  You will be responsible for configuring data driven options for our clients, managing PowerBI reporting, creating APIs, and validating the data flowing throughout the platform.  There are many facets to this position, and you will have the opportunity to wear many hats.  We encourage those with a high level of interest to apply.  This is a remote position however office space may be provided if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Work with field and office employees to gather data collection requirements




• Train field crews on proper data entry




• Validate incoming data




• Provide end user support and documentation




• Collaborate with the team to develop a product roadmap for future updates releases




• Create and manage service APIs




• Design PowerBI reports




• Meet with clients and attend conferences as needed




• Some travel may be required




• Perform other duties as assigned or related

Requirements:

• AAS or BS in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent relevant experience




• Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases




• Excellent written and oral communication skills




• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a user base with varying degrees of technological skills




• Work effectively collaboratively and individually




• Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change with short notice




• Knowledge of PowerBI or other reporting platforms
