Overview

Position is responsible to assist the Warehouse Superintendent in planning, directing and coordinating the activities and operations of the Clemens Food Group Warehousing entities. Position requires a strong leader who can contribute to managing and directing the overall operation by helping to set a vision and goals for the Warehouse areas along with tools to measure performance and drive continuous improvement. Position requires someone who is enterprising along with possessing strong communication and team building skills.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate activities of CFG warehousing and distribution needs at the Supervisor level and at the Superintendent level as needed.
• Monitor KPI's and coach Supervisors and team members to implement action items with deadlines to drive company initiatives.


• Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.


• Ensures all equipment and machinery are accounted for and properly maintained.


• Ensures all records are monitored and reported on in a timely basis.


• Ensures areas meet satisfactory GMP and SQF requirements at all times.


• Assist in the development, direction and coordination of department's functional and capital budget activities to fund operations, optimize assets and increase efficiency with a goal of cost reduction and continuous improvement


• Collaborate with Supervisors and Superintendent to establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with organization leadership across all departments and areas.


• Determines staffing requirements, interviews, hires and trains new team members, or oversees those personnel processes.


• Continually seeks to build and improve the team through utilization of CFG's Continuous Improvement process and through aggressive performance management.


• Systematically cultivates and maintains long-term, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and with selected organizations to achieve mutual goals while ensuring clarity, understanding and commitment to Clemens Core Values.


• Keeps up to date on technology, trends and issues affecting the industry and develops strategies to address these issues.


• Facilitates the development, maintenance and monitoring of organizational plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or relevant discipline and 3-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Perishables distribution center experience preferred


• Requires one who is multi-task oriented and a team player


• Must be able to work fluctuating hours as needed to facilitate production demands.


• Good verbal and written communication skills; Strong interpersonal and analytical skills


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals


• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of team members or customers


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals


• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

• Must learn and understand in-house inventory/production software and the Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Outlook, Word and Excel).
