Job Description


The Quality Engineer- Manufacturing Change Order Coordinator position is responsible for the overall management of the change management program with oversight at the Searcy, AR facility. Manage the process to ensure that the changes are in accordance with AIAG and Customer Quality standards, Danfoss policies & ISO/IATF procedures. Maintain the change control history, records & documentation to demonstrate compliance requirements. Create customer notifications through customer portals and submit internal customer notifications. Coordinate and manage customer notification process.

This position will report to the quality manager.


Job Responsibilities


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.


  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the change control and customer communication process:

  • Assist areas for preparation of the change requests, documenting the details of change, insuring the appropriate functional reviews and sign-off. Includes temporary change requests (deviations).

  • Assess benefits or risks of the requested changes in order to prioritize, fast track, hold or cancel accordingly with proper communication to requestor.

  • Ensure changes are effectively tracked and recorded in Enovia, and affected departments/areas are notified.

  • Maintain the change control system, conduct meetings, ensure attendance of key decision makers to discuss pending change controls, track the status and provide report to management on a weekly basis as a minimum.

  • Identify area of concerns / roadblocks in completing the change control evaluation, and resolve or elevate the concern to the management, so the change can be completed in a timely fashion.

  • Collaborate with areas/departments on technical requirements and recommend procedures and documentation for control

  • Prepare and/or review customer notification letter/s and ensure timely communication

  • Maintain the change control history, records, and documentation to demonstrate compliance to customer and company policies.

  • Assist areas for training on change control procedures and key compliance requirements as applied to Eaton Hydraulics products and processes.

  • Subject matter expert (SME) for change control process per DOP-035, including Enovia, C360 Part Activation, and plant Process Change Request (PCR).

  • Provide training on proper completion of change control documentation

  • Audit completed change controls on a monthly basis to assure compliance

  • Support Quality Systems Specialist with specifications, investigations, procedures, and validation as needed

Required (basic) qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role in lieu of degree

Preferred qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • Experience in change management in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience leading change management planning in a manufacturing environment and working with customers through change.

Job Criteria


  • Able to coordinate and lead a cross functional team

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Able to conduct effective training sessions objectively and confidently to key stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrates an ability to research and analyze various types of feedback to make recommendations to continuously improve training offerings in alignment with key business objectives

  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize projects

  • Demonstrates an ability to get results with a sense of urgency
