An award-winning teaching hospital located in upstate New York is currently searching for an experienced Histology Technician to join their accredited healthcare team.

The Histology Technician will work within an acute care hospital that provides advanced services such as open-heart surgery, specialized cancer treatments, trauma care, vascular care, neurosurgery, as well as orthopedic and spinal care. The Histology Technician will perform slide based histological assays, tests, and procedures and any other such tests conducted by the clinical histology laboratory. The Histology Technician will maintain the histology equipment and records, will perform quality assurance activities related to procedure performance on histological testing of human tissues. Under direction of the Histology Supervisor, the Histology Technician will provide prompt and accurate laboratory test results to both providers and inpatient departments.

The Histology Technician must be a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Histotechnician in accordance with the New York State Department of Health regulations. Prior experience working within a clinical laboratory or histology laboratory.
