Job Description:

Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.


Responsible for full cycle accounts payable processing, maintain accounts payable records and ensure the timely and accurate payment of accounts.


Essential Functions:


• Review and process vendor invoices and code them to the appropriate GL accounts
• High volume of accounts payable for multiple internal entities with excellent attention to detail
• Analyze, prepare and input data
• Match received purchase orders with invoices and coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure the timely and accurate payment of accounts. Prepare weekly accounts payable batches for check processing
• Maintain and analyze vendor accounts and determine discount and payment delay opportunities with vendors when cash is restricted
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and identify and investigate issues
• Request and maintain vendor W-9 information in the general ledger system
• Prepare all accounts payable reports
• Comply and maintain accounts payable records according to record retention policy
• Communicate and coordinate accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department, company managers and vendors
• Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Support the accounting team and assist with special projects
• Code and input AP invoices
• Manage all electronic invoices
• Work with purchasing department on GL coding
• Create and manage check runs
• Manage and reconcile vendor statements
• Filing
• All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:


• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable experience including coding, researching, producing checks and maintaining customer service with vendors
• Familiarity with accounting principles and ability to interpret information from various vendors
• Proficient computer skills and general ledger accounting systems
• Attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills for communications with vendors and internal departments
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:


Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
