Our software is used to make maps, geographic information, and analyses available on any device, anywhere, at any time. Our product engineers are integral to delivering high-quality software, which includes our documentation.

As a product engineer, you will work with our cross-functional global team of product engineers, developers, and writers. You will be actively involved with designing, writing, building, and delivering existing and next generation ArcGIS Enterprise documentation using software development and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

    Actively contribute to our developer, administrative, and user-based documentation
  • Contribute to other first, best experiences such as blogs, lessons, and learning paths

  • Communicate project status regularly to the team

  • Collaborate across teams to deliver consistent and meaningful documentation

  • Perform daily testing to identify and address documentation issues

  • Troubleshoot and triage documentation issues reported by customers

Requirements


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Effective project management, time management, and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of ArcGIS software

  • Bachelor's or master's in GIS, geography, engineering, computer science, or related fields

Recommended Qualifications


  • Basic understanding and experience using version control (e.g. in a CMS or GitHub)

  • Writing experience

  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
