Sturgeon Electric's Commercial and Industrial (C&I)electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. Sturgeon Electric has experience performing projects under Integrated Lean Project Delivery methods, and also offers pre-construction services, in-house pre-fabrication capabilities, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) capabilities
The C&I Field Development Manager is responsible for identifying field training needs within the company and preparing, conducting and evaluating technical training programs. The C&I Field Development Manager will develop and conduct a variety of technical educational programs, both Instructor-led and virtual instructor-led, observe and report employee progress and program effectiveness.
Essential Functions:
* Conduct training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to best practices, workflow assessments, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks
* Develop and maintain training content and job aids
* Define course structure, content, and delivery method to produce high quality training
* Design computer-based training material based on needs analysis
* Establish and maintain organizational technical training standards; valuate training effectiveness
* Responsible for tracking training and documentation requests, creating schedules and meeting deadlines
* Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills
* Other duties as assigned
* Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable
* Regular and predictable attendance
* Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
Principal Skills:
* Ability to communicate in an effective and positive manner
* Advanced knowledge of adult learning principles
* Proven ability to work independently and multi-task in a technically-evolving, multi-faceted environment
* Excellent communication both written and verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to independently manage projects
* Ability to create and deliver technical training
* Ability to communicate with management and all levels within the company to meet goals
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of technology training experience
* Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
* Experience creating and delivering training materials through various methods (instructor-led, virtual, or computer-based)
* Experience applying instructional design, curriculum development methodologies, and learning strategies in corporate learning programs
Preferred Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Training & Development, Construction Management or similar discipline; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Employee Benefits:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience -$135,000 per year. Posted salary is made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate
